Who we are:
FMHI-SF (Filipino Mental Helath Initiative - San Francisco) was established in 2012 through the collaboration of mental health providers, consumers, advocates, community leaders, and interested community members commited to supporting the wellness of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in San Francisco.
Through capacity building, outreach and engagement in the Filipino community, FMHI-SF strives to reduce stigma, promote awareness, increase access to culturally appropriate wellness services and increase effectiveness of the behavioral health services in San Francisco.

SOMA Pilipinas Arts Fair

The Ma'ARTES Festival in May 2015 features over 50 artists,
6 events at 4 different venues throughout San Francisco's historic Filipino communities.

The Mabuhay Health Center is a free student-run community health clinic that aims to reduce health disparities existing within the South of Market district of San Francisco. Under the supervision of UCSF faculty, students participate in services in partnership with the Bayanihan Community Center. By providing free, ongoing monthly services including health screenings, medication therapy management, and health education seminars, Mabuhay Health Center hopes to promote a healthier lifestyle among SOMA residents. The PG&E CARE (California Alternate Rates for Energy) program provides a monthly discount on energy bills for income-qualified households and housing facilities.
